Guy Villeneuve and Michel St-Cyr proudly announce the arrival at Fair-Play of Guy Latraverse. “Guy has a unique background and invaluable experience,” says Michel St-Cyr. Guy Villeneuve adds: “It’s a privilege for us to work with this arts and culture maven and to benefit from his vast experience.”
“I’m very happy to begin this new chapter of my career at Fair-Play,” says Guy Latraverse. “My daughter Zoé works there and speaks very highly of them! I’m looking forward to developing variety and documentary projects with Michel, Guy and the team.”
Over his long and productive career, Guy Latraverse has been an agent and producer for many Quebec artists including Claude Léveillée, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Renée Claude, Louise Forestier, Diane Dufresne, Claude Dubois, Robert Charlebois, Isabelle Boulay, Lynda Lemay, André Gagnon, Yvon Deschamps, Jean Lapointe, Dominique Michel and Daniel Lemire. He has also produced shows for several European performers such as Guy Béart, Charles Aznavour, Julien Clerc, Michel Sardou, Juliette Gréco, Raymond Devos, Léo Ferré, Michel Fugain, Dalida, Johnny Hallyday, Enrico Macias, Mireille Mathieu, Petula Clark and Véronique Sanson.
He has to his credit two historic shows: “Le loup, le renard et le lion” with Robert Charlebois, Gilles Vigneault and Félix Leclerc; and “1 fois 5,” featuring Claude Léveillée, Gilles Vigneault, Yvon Deschamps, Jean-Pierre Ferland and Robert Charlebois.
Guy Latraverse has also produced over 1,000 TV episodes, including several galas: ADISQ (which galas he in fact originated), Olivier, Masques and Jutra. He also created variety and sketch comedy episodes for the FrancoFolies de Montréal, Samedi de rire (with Yvon Deschamps), Le plaisir croit avec l’usage and Le Grand rire, as well as numerous documentaries and episodes on mental health, a topic that is of particular interest to him.
In addition, Guy Latraverse cofounded the FrancoFolies de Montréal and has been the event’s vice-president since 1989. This is also his 26th consecutive year producing Show du Refuge with Dan Bigras.
