Guylaine Tremblay and Édith Cochrane to helm the Québec Cinéma gala

Québec Cinéma, Radio-Canada and Groupe Fair-Play are pleased to announce that two crowd-pleasing personalities, Édith Cochrane and Guylaine Tremblay, will host the next edition of the GALA QUÉBEC CINÉMA, to be broadcast live on ICI Radio-Canada Télé on Sunday June 4, at 8 p.m. This is the 19th presentation of this event honouring the work, the artists and the craftspeople that help our homegrown film industry to thrive.

Dominique Chaloult, the executive director of Radio-Canada television, paid tribute to these two artists: “Édith Cochrane and Guylaine Tremblay are associated with two of Radio-Canada’s most popular programs. Their careers not only speak to their exceptional acting talent but also to their versatility, making them the ideal choice to emcee a memorable celebration of Quebec film.”

“Québec Cinema is proud to have two women in the driver’s seat for the first time at the gala,” said Ségolène Roederer, director general of Québec Cinéma. “This will help breathe new life into the event. These two highly talented actors are popular with audiences and industry members. They will lend their spirit and energy to this well-known event promoting our film industry.”

The Québec Cinéma gala is a yearly event celebrating the quality and diversity of Quebec cinema, and the talent and know-how of the province’s artists and craftspeople. It is broadcast to hundreds of thousands of spectators here and internationally. Fair-Play is the delegated production company for this co-production between Radio-Canada and Québec Cinéma. The 19th edition of the Gala Québec Cinéma will be directed by Guy Gagnon.
