Les Films du 3 mars and Esperamos Films, co-producers with the National Film Board (NFB), are proud to announce that Sophie Deraspe’s film A Gay Girl in Damascus: The Amina Profile won the Hot Docs Festival’s prestigious Special Jury Prize last Saturday in the Canadian Feature Documentary category. Filmmaker Sophie Deraspe and co-producer Isabelle Couture were on hand at the festival to accept the award.
