Filmmaker Mathieu Roy is coming on board as artistic co-director of the production company Esperamos, working in partnership with filmmaker Hugo Latulippe, who co-founded Esperamos.
Together, Hugo Latulippe (What Remains of Us, Alphee of the Stars and République: un abécédaire populaire) and Mathieu Roy (Surviving Progress and L’Autre Maison) want to develop and produce their own projects but also invite fellow filmmakers to come develop theirs.
“Esperamos wants to continue supporting the cinematographic work of documentary filmmakers but also to develop and shoot fiction projects on a more modest scale,” says Latulippe.
Roy was named to the position on April 18, 2016.
