Synopsis

SNL Québec is Quebec’s French language version of the iconic New York comedy sketch and variety show, Saturday Night Live. Groupe Fair-Play produced two seasons of the program which comprised all the trademark components and familiar aesthetics of the original format. Like its US counterpart, SNL Quebec was broadcast live and featured an A-lister host, an opening monologue, a regular cast of players, a star musical guest and a Weekend Update-style news sketch. The show drew on world and local political, social and cultural events for parodies and also reprised some classic SNL NY digital shorts.
